The intricate wood carvings, geometric patterns, and vibrant decorations are prominent in Moroccan palaces, mosques, homes, and furniture, reflecting the deep cultural significance embedded in the woodwork.

This course will guide students through the history, techniques, and aesthetics of Moroccan woodworking, while providing hands-on experience in creating traditional Moroccan woodcraft. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills, students will learn the traditional tools and materials used in Moroccan woodworking, as well as techniques such as wood carving, inlay, coloring, and decoration. In the first part of the course, students will explore the origins and development of Moroccan woodworking, learning about common patterns such as geometric shapes, Arabesque motifs, and floral designs, along with their cultural significance.
