This course will take students through various facets of Machu Picchu, including its historical background, architectural style, religious practices, astronomical knowledge, archaeological discoveries, and ecological conservation efforts. Students will explore the Inca civilization’s splendor and complexity, focusing on Machu Picchu’s multifaceted role in Inca society as a religious sanctuary, royal palace, and astronomical observatory.
