Lost Rivers is a sculpture series inspired by rivers and water landscapes, where the artist explores the curves and fluctuations of flowing water in space. Water, as one of the most dynamic and life-giving elements in nature, has long been a medium for artists to express themes of movement, transformation, and eternity. This series combines the form of water with sculpture, using a variety of materials to showcase the infinite changes and profound beauty of flowing water.

In the Lost Rivers series, the artist utilizes multiple materials, including stainless steel, glass, resin, ceramics, and natural stone, to simulate various states of flowing water. For example, transparent glass and resin create a sense of clarity and flow, while stainless steel and stone reflect the strength and shape-shifting power of water through curved lines and reflective surfaces. Each sculpture is like a “lost river,” representing both a natural phenomenon and an artistic interpretation of the vitality and changeability of water.

Through exquisite craftsmanship and innovative material usage, these sculptures deeply explore the relationship between the softness and power of water, its movement and stillness, and the interaction between the natural and the man-made. Each piece is not only an artwork but also a dynamic story, as if telling how water travels across land and through time, ultimately flowing into the endless distance.

This project will be launched through a crowdfunding platform, and the funds raised will be used for the creation of the sculptures, material procurement, exhibition space design and setup, and installation and display of the works. The artist hopes that through the Lost Rivers series, viewers will not only appreciate the beauty of water sculptures but also feel the mysterious power of nature’s flowing water, sparking greater awareness and action towards environmental conservation.
